The “Yad Chaim Herzog” Memorial Foundation is dedicated to preserving the memory and legacy of Chaim Herzog, the 6th President of Israel. The foundation is responsible for the initiation and execution of events and commemorative projects, gathering data and materials related President Chaim Herzog and making that data accessible to the public.

The foundation actively supports the establishment of the Jewish Warrior Museum in the city of Latrun, bestowing the “Chaim Herzog Award” and is responsible for the flotilla in Herzliya in honor of Chaim Herzog.

The foundation operates with the support of the “Presidents and Prime Ministers Memorial Council” based in the Prime Minister’s Office, as well with the assistance of family, friends and admirers of Chaim Herzog.

Founded in 1997 following the passing of Chaim Herzog, the foundation operates with the support of a public council for promoting it’s missions.
